Riverside, Calif - Golden West Men's Swim team clenched their 31st Conference Championship at Riverside City College. With a 141 points on second place, Orange Coast College the back-to-back Orange Empire champions move confidently toward the CCCAA State Championship.

The Rustlers dominated their events, finishing first in ten of the seventeen events on Saturday. Golden West placed an unprecedented first through seventh in the 200 yard IM with Gabriel Hernandez touching first in 1:50.19, followed by Loai Tashkandi (1:54.48), Daniel Roa (1:55.39), Jeremy Grden, Josh Morgan, Casey Klipsich, Christhian Carrasquilla and Miles Borgos. 

Next up, Dylan Alba took first in the 50 yard Freestyle, his time was 20.60. 

The first relay of the day was the 400 yard Medley Relay swam by Roa, Grden, Hernandez and Alba in 3:26.90 for first. Next was the 200 yard Medley Relay with Roa, Grden, Davit Sikharulidze and Alba finishing in a fast 1:32.80.

The men out swam their competition in the 400 yard IM, claim the top three spots in the event. Hernandez touched first in 3:55.62, next was Roa (4:03.00) followed by Borgos (4:19.14).

Sikharulidze took first place in the 200 yard Freestyle (1:38.73) as well as in the 100 yard Freestyle (45.44), following Sikharulidze was Alba in second with a time of 45.58.

In the 100 yard Breaststroke Tashkandi touched first in 56.34 barely beating teammate Grden who touched at 56.90.

Golden West continued to overpower the competition in the 800 yard Free Relay with a time of 6:52.05 thanks to  the combined efforts of Hernandez, Grden, Tashkandi and Roa. Hernandez went on to take first in the 200 yard Butterfly (1:47.77).

The last relay of the day was the 400 yard Free Relay, swimming the relay Tommy Cornes, Alba, Tashkandi and Sikharulidze finished for first in 3:03.40
