Men's OEC Swim Championships Day 1 Results

Huntington Beach, Calif. - As day one of the Orange Empire Conference men's swim championships came to close, Riverside mens team holds a slim lead over the host Golden West 254-237. 

The day started with a first place finish for Golden West's 200 free relay of Blake Williamson, Santiago Rivera, Garret Wasserman, and Chad Maurer with a time of 1:24.58. They norrowly beat Riverside realy squad with a time of 1:24.82.

Riverside bounced back with a first place finish by Farouk Zaui in the 500 yard free with a time of 4:37.30. Golden West's Connor Wallace finished second with a time of 4:41.47.

Riverside's Maxence Bouvier would claim first in the 200 yard IM at 1:50.80 followed by Golden West's Santiago Rivera at 1:53.39. 

Chadd Maurer for Golden West would finish first in the 50 yard free at 20.37, beating out Riverside's Kyle Acevedo at 20.67. Cypress's Mark Wyse rounded out the top three finishing at 20.80.

Golden West's 400 yard medley relay team of Aidan Lund, Santiago Rivera, Sonny Ford, and Chadd Maurer claimed first finishing at 3:22.61. Edging out Riverside's squad of Arnaud Magnan, Maxence Bouvier, Lazar Raca, and Jacob White with a time of 3:23.18. Orange Coast's foursome of Daniel Herrera, Jacob Adams, Donny Hadden, and Parker Evans claimed third with a finish of 3:30.33. 

In the 3M diving Riverside's Brendan Brown claimed first with 252.10 score and teammate Aaron Garcia came in second with 175.90. Cypress rounded out the top three as Ryan Napohaku finished with 142.05.
