M Swim: Finished Second in the OEC Championships

Riverside, Calif. - Golden West men's swim took home two first place medals with with CO-OEC Male Swimmer of the Meet Srvoljub Filipovic touching the wall first in the 200 Breast (2:04.49). Felipe Ferrreira followed with a top clip in the 100 Free (46.82). The Rustlers added a silver medal in the 400 Free Relay (3:08.35), while Kyle Sary earned the silver in the 100 Free (47.20).

A strong finish was also achieved with three finishers in the top eight of the 1650 Freestyle with Gen Fujita fourth, Brodie Kuhn fifth, and Pierre Louise Foucault right behind him in sixth place.  

It was a great team effort from all 18 swimmers who competed in the meet. it was a total team effort as the following swimmers also scored points during the three days of competition: Grady Cullen, Nico Dangelo, Haroon Elgabalawy, Idris Elgabalawy, Alec Johnson, Jarrett Kimbrough, Ethan Leonardo, Jakob Lundquist, Augi Macchi, Tin Mai, and Dillon Salazar.

The Rustlers finished second with a total of 701 points. They will look to take this momentum into the CCCAA State Championships starting May 5 at East LA College.
