Los Angeles, Calif. - The Golden West College men's swim team finished day one in sixth place at the CCCCAA State Championships being held at East LA College.

With All State honors going to Siba Filipovic for his fourth place finish in the 200 IM, Kyle Sary for a seventh place finish in the 50 Free, and Felipe Ferrreira for an eighth place finish in the 50 Free. Two relays also achieved All-State honors with a sixth place finish in the 200 Free Relay - Ferreira, Ethan Leonardo, Eamon Hennessey, and Sary, then the 400 Medley Relay with a fifth place finish with Hennessey, Filipovic, Ferreira and Sary.

Day two of the three day championships will have an opportunity for the Rustlers to earn even more All State honors with all eight qualifiers swimming in more events and two more relays.
