Rustlers Finish Second in Track and Field Dual Meet

Golden West Men's Track and Field Team finished second in their first conference dual meet of the 2014 spring season. Golden West, along with Orange Coast, Fullerton and Santiago Canyon competed at Fullerton College, with Golden West's men taking first in 3 events. 

Golden West field athlete Gavin Coath took home first place in two events, the Shot Put - with a throw of 13.71m and the Discus Throw, 40.67m. Rustler Andrew Gonzalez placed first in the Pole Vault (4.25m). Marcus Sanchez took second in the Javelin, with a throw of 47.07m, Sanchez also placed third in the 110m Hurdles (15.99). Jevon Brown took second in the Triple Jump with 13.38.

For the Rustlers who run, Kendrick Ragasa took second place in the 200m Dash, with a time of 22.59 seconds. Armando Ayala finished the 100m Dash in 11.30 seconds for third place, and Oscar Suniga finished in third with his 52.37 second 400m Dash.
