Men's Track and Field Place in 9 Events

LaVerne, Calif. - The Men's Track and Field team traveled to University of LaVerne to bring home the top spots in 9 events across the day.

Finishing first in the 100m Dash, Kandrick Ragasa finished in a fast 50.72 seconds.

Marcus Sanchez continues to work hard in his events taking second in two events and third in another. His 110m Hurdle time of 15.97 was a mere 0.18 seconds behind first place.  In the Javelin throw, Sanchez threw for 48.46m to take second, improving from his last throw of 47.07m at GWC's Dual meet last month. In the Men's High Jump, 1.65m or 5' 5" was good for third place.

Rounding out the top spots for the Rustlers,  Jay Anderson finished in second place in the 400m Hurdles (58.98) and Fisher Chivara, took third in the 100m Dash (11.30).

In the field events, Gavin Coath keeps on top of the leader board with a Shot Put distance of 13.40m for first place, and a Discuss Throw of 44.62m, good for second place. Keith Pion jumped his way to second in the High Jump, with a 1.75m or 5' 8.75" jump.

NEXT: Golden West's top track athletes will participate at the Cal State LA Invitational, March 7-8th.
