Men's Track & Field Compete at OEC Prelims

Fullerton, Calif. - Men's Track and Field participated in the Orange Empire Track and Field Prelim Championships over the weekend.  Golden West finished 4th overall with their eyes focused forward as they now look toward the Conference finals.

First out of the start for the Rustlers was Kendrick Ragasa in the 400 Meter Dash. Ragasa placed 5th with a time of 51.54.

Three of Golden West's finest finished in the top 10 of the 100 Meter Hurdles. First across was  Marcus Sanchez (15.72) for 5th place, followed by Jay Anderson (15.74) and Mostafa Bibi (16.61) in 9th. Anderson then went on to finish 6th again, this time in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 58.28

In the field events, Andrew Gonzalez placed 6th in the Pole Vault (13-01.50), and teammate Gavin Coath placed 6th in the Shot Put (46-07.25)

The Orange Empire finals will be held at Fullerton College on Friday, April 25th at 10:00am.
