Aliso Viejo, Calif. - Golden West opened the season with impressive performances at the Soka University Invite Saturday, February 19. 

Competing against four year universities, freshman James Lim was runner-up in the men's high jump with a clearance of 1.75m. Freshman Ayden Lastra had a big day as well, finishing third in the men's 60m with a time of 7.09. 

The Rustlers are back in action on Friday, February 25 in the Orange Empire Conference Invite #1 at Riverside City College.
