Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West College is hosting the 2022 Orange Empire Conference prelims and championships over a two day event on April 22 and April 29. 

In the 100m: Ayden Lastra ran a personal best 11.06 for a fourth place finish with teammates also running their fastests times of the season, Kenny Aladiume (PR 11.14) sixth, and Sam Lybeer (PR 11.20) eighth.  In the 200m Lastra continued his to record his fastest times of the season with another PR of 22.32 good for a fifth place finish. 

Also competing in next Friday's finals on 4/29 will be James Lim (high jump and 110m hurdles), Tommy Nguyen (pole vault), Donovan Reilly (discus), and Mason Dupler (5000m).

The men's 3000m steeplechase was run as a final as Dupler finished sixth which qualified him for the SoCal Regionals at Moorpark College on Friday, May 6.
