Huntington Beach, CA - Golden West track and field will send three Rustlers to the 3C2A State Championship. 

Sophomore Jake Troxell,Freshman Kanoa Wesleyreshman Matthew Mena have qualified for the 3C2A State Championships. Troxell placed third in the SoCal Regional shot put competition. His preliminary throw of 15.26m was a personal best. Mena finished fourth in the shot put and also threw a personal best in the preliminary round with a mark of 15.11m. Wesley will compete at this Saturday's 3C2A Track & Field State Championships in the men's pole vault. This season he won the Orange Empire Conference Invitational where he matched his personal best of 4.25m and ranked in the top five in conference the entire season. The three of them will be competing at Saturday's State Championship being held at Saddleback College. 

NEXT UP: Golden West will have Troxell and Mena represent the Rustlers on Saturday, May 17th. The 3C2A State Championships will take place at Saddleback College.
