Mission Veijo, Calif. - Sophomore Jake Troxell finished second in shot put after a posting a personal best mark of 15.35m in the 3C2A State Championships hosted by Saddleback College. 

Following Troxell's second place finished he announced his commitment to the University of California - Irvine to continue his athletic and academic endeavors. 

Freshman Matthew Mena finished fifth in the state with a personal best mark of 15.18m.

It was a great finish to the season for the two throwers as they were able to post personal best marks from the Orange Empire Conference Championships, SoCal Championships, and then in the 3C2A State Championships.
