Rustlers Outplayed By Pirates

Huntington Beach, Calif. – Golden West (5-10, 2-5) fell to Orange Coast College (11-4, 8-1) in three sets (25-13, 25-13, 25-21).  Despite the losing effort, outside hitter Cody Neskahi and middle blocker Tyler Peck showed great defensive prowess. Alvin Truong led the Rustlers with 17 kills.

The Pirates led throughout the match until the Rustlers got their first lead of the night in set three to go ahead 13-12. Orange Coast managed to power through the final set to take the match in three. 

With only give matches remaining in the season, the Rustlers are fifth in the Pacific Coast Conference.

Next: Golden West will travel to face San Diego on Friday, March 27, at 6:00 p.m. San Diego is currently sixth in the conference, just behind Golden West.
