Men's Volleyball Starting Season Strong

Torrance, Calif. - Rustler Men's Volleyball drove away with a win in 5 against the El Camino College Warriors Friday night. (26-24, 23-25, 25-8, 22-25, 13-15) Golden West (4-1) kept the heat on the Warriors in the first two sets, and despite a low score in the third the men rallied for a 3-2 match set win. 

Leading at the net for the Rustlers was outside hitter Vincent Pizzuti with 15 kills, 1 solo block and 2 block assists. Chase Palumbo sent 13 kills over the net with the help of setter Dale Irvin who put up 42 assists.  

On Golden West defense, Daniel Vasquez totaled 33 digs for the night, giving him a total of 55 for the season. Blocking the home team Warriors at the net were Antoine Roy, Irvin and Palumbo with 2 solo blocks each.
