M Volleyball: Victorious in Second Straight Sweep

Huntington Beach, CA  ‑ The Golden West men's volleyball team took advantage of a hapless LA Trade Tech College en route to a quick nonconference victory Wednesday night.

The host Rustlers cruised to a 25-20, 25-25-14, 25-12 sweep to win their second consecutive match.

Golden West (2-3) was led by sophomore Josh Kim, who posted team highs in kills (18) and digs (8).  Freshman Luke Davis (Fountain Valley High) added seven kills, freshman Enzo Boggio (Schurr High) had two kills, with a team-leading 27 assists and eight digs, a block and a service ace. Freshman Mitch Fixa (Esperanza High) had four kills, three digs and a block, sophomore Constantin Tolentino recorded three kills and two digs and sophomore Kevin Lujan had a kill, two assists, eight digs and three service aces.

The Rustlers take their first extended road trip of the season and return home to host Palomar College at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.
