Huntington Beach, Calif. – The new era of Golden West College men's volleyball notched it's first win of the season and first career win for new head coach Nick Amado.

The Rustler's swept visiting Grossmont 25-21, 25-21, 25-20 Wednesday night in a much-needed victory.

It was a big hitting night for Shane Sanders who tallied seven kills and hit .700 and Nicolas Maya with eight kills while hitting .438.

Setter Jaden Kodongan was efficient with 22 assists and 12 digs in the sweep.

Golden West will be on the road next at Santa Barbara City College on Friday for a 5pm start.
