M Volleyball: Earns Second Win in Sweep Over the Griffins

Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West College Volleyball team has been working hard all season and they earned their second win of the season in a 3-0 sweep against visiting Grossmont 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.

The first set was a close one, with both teams playing well and fighting for every point. But the Rustlers edged out the Griffins, winning the set 25-23. The team's energy was high, and they were determined to keep up their momentum.

Opposite hitter Ezra Vlad led the Rustlers with seven kills and six digs.

In the second set, Golden West took control of the game. They played with precision and confidence, and Grossmont struggled to keep up. The set ended with a comfortable 25-18 victory for a 2-0 lead. Michael Moran had a good second set as he finished the match with six kills and five digs.

As the teams prepared for the third and final set, the Rustlers knew they couldn't let their guard down. They continued to play with focus and determination, and their hard work paid off. They won the set 25-21, completing the sweep and earning their second win of the season.

Golden West will be back in action on Friday, March 3 when they take on San Diego Mesa at home with a 6pm start time.
