Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West men's volleyball (4-1) set sweeps the Antelope Valley Marauders (1-2), (25-22, 25-19, 25-23).  

Antelope Valley walked into Golden West after their first win against Fullerton on Friday. The Rustlers looked to make it three in a row with their two dominant victories over Santa Monica and Long Beach. The home team took control early in the first set and never let the lead slip. Later in the first set, the Marauders crept back in to compete to come within two points. But Golden West finished off the first set on top, 25-22. 

The visiting Marauders took charge in the second set as they led, 4-6. With strong kills, service aces and long rally wins the Rustlers regained the momentum, 20-12. Golden West would pull away to win the second set, 25-19.

 The Rustlers went on a run to start the third and final set to go up 8-1. Antelope Valley threatened near the end as the Marauders came within one point. But to close out the matchup, Golden West rode out the win for the sweet, 25-23. The Rustlers earned their third consecutive victory and remained undefeated at home. 

NEXT UP: The Rustlers will play their next matchup at home on Thursday, February 15th against the Grossmont Griffins. The match will begin at 5pm.
