Golden West College improves to 2-0 in conference by defeating visiting Saddleback Gauchos 25-4.

The Rustlers opened up the scoring with just :45 seconds into the game with a counter attach goal by Luca De Vivo. In just 3 minutes Golden West took a commanding 4-0 lead. The Rustlers would end the first period up 6 to 1.

In the second, it was strong defense that fed the Rustler attack. Golden West had five different goal scorers: Luke Pebley (2), Tim Fuller, Paul Miernicki, Kevin Oliveria, and Dustin Hayashi help build the lead to 12-2 by half.

The Rustlers continued to lock down on defense as they only allowed 11 shot attempts the entire game. Golden West's Garret Pickford (5 goals) and Duncan Burrows (4 goals) combined for nine of the Rustler 25 goals on the evening.

Golden West travels to Northern California to face University of the Pacific (Friday 12pm) and West Valley (Saturday 9am).
