Rustlers Continue Their Perfect Season

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West (11-0, 3-0) finishes their 3rd consecutive win in conference play against the Santa Ana Dons (13-6,1-2) on Wednesday. Top ranked Rustlers defeated the Dons 18-4.

It was an impressive day for Rulster offense, as team members fired away at the Santa Ana's goalie Wesley Kobel. The first half started slow for the men in the water, but quickly Golden West found the net and could not be stopped. Leading scorer for the Rustlers was Kris Laczkovics (Hungary) with 6 goals and Ricardo Guimaraes (Brazil) with 5 goals against the Dons.

Taking charge on defense, David Jorth (Costa Mesa, CA/Newport HS) had a commanding 8 steals and 3 assists. Teammate Ari Marks (Newport Beach, CA/Carona Del Mar HS) was a powerful presence on the defense, finishing the game with 6 steals and 5 assists.

Men's water polo travels to northern California next to face off against the following schools: Delta, Sierra, West Valley, and Diablo Valley College. Check the Golden West Athletic website for updates on their results.
