Men's Water Polo Advance To Play For State Title

Golden West slowly pulled away from West Valley college in the men's semi-final game and posted a 15-10 victory.

The win sets up an a long awaited match up between the No.1 team in the north, Diablo Valley College (21-3)  against the No.1 team of the south, Golden West (24-0)
In their win over West Valley, Ricardo Guimaraes scored six goals for the Rustlers, and drew seven ejections. Derek Iglesias had three steals, two assists and one goal, and teammate Kris Laczkovics had four assists, one steal and two goals of his own. Tommy Grall gave the Rustlers four assist and one goal as well.
Goalkeeper Marton Szabo posted 10 saves in the win, while Golden West had nine different goal scores on the day. 
The men now look to defeat Diablo Valley college to claim the State Championship title for the second year in a row.
