Huntington Beach, Calif. – Paco Gonzalez, Gilbert Milanes, and Alex Gonzlez recorded three goals apiece as they routed Saddleback in a 22-2 Orange Empire Conference match up.

Golden West (12-1) had 14 different players score against the Gauchos.  Sophomore Robert Schatz and Freshman Andrew Golyer each added two goals while Derek Iglesias, John Lovat, Keanu Martinez, Ari Marks, Sean Grab, Aaron Polk, Matt Roche, Laszlo Nagy, and Jack Proctor each chipped in a goal.

The Rustlers broke out with a 6-0 first period run, and almost held Saddleback scoreless for the first half, but a shot by Derrick D'Amico with one second on the clock found the back of the net to put the Gauchos on the board.  Golden West would go into halftime with an 11-1 lead and would continue to build on it with a 15-2 lead after the 3rd period and 22-2 when the final buzzer sounded.

The Rustlers split time in the cage as sophomore goalkeeper Nate Sfreddo picked up 3 saves in the first period while freshman Hayden Paul tallied 4 saves in the last 3 periods of work.

Golden West is back in action on Thursday, Oct. 17 against University of the Pacific "B" and Delta Community College.  Both games are slated to be played at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California
