Men's Water Polo Dominates Orange Coast In Route to the No. 1 Seed in Conference Play

Coast Mesa, Calif. – Golden West Men's Water Polo solidified the No. 1 seed in the Orange Empire Conference after defeating Orange Coast College 15-7.

The Rustlers dominated the game from the opening whistle by taking a commanding 6-2 lead in the first quarter and expanded the lead to 11-4 by half.  Golden West was lead by Botond Kadar with 4 goals, while Ciaran Wolohan scored 2 and had 2 assists and five steals on the day.  Other Rustlers to score were Liam Paterson (3 goals), John Garczynski (1 goal), Ale Valania (2 goals), Nate Sinclair (3 goals).

Golden West played their final conference match of the 2015 season on the road, in pool that should not host a collegiate event.  Using metal wall cages and only 23 yards of play, the Rustlers were able to dominate Orange Coast on nearly every possession of the game.

The Men's Water Polo team will regroup and prepare for the Orange Empire Conference Tournament that will take place at Riverside Community College November 6th and 7th.  Friday at 1:30pm, the Rustlers will face the winner of Saddleback and Fullerton to advance to the conference championship game.

The Orange Empire Conference Championship game will also be played at Riverside Community College at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2015.
