M Water Polo: Takes Care of Business in the Water

Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West men's water polo squad took care of business in the water against Orange Empire Conference foe, Riverside City College 15-2.

Riley Pfieffer led the charge for the Rustler offense as he netted four goals on the afternoon. Right behind Pfieffer was teammate Manuel Augusto who netted three goals and then Oscar Douglas and Bruno Chiappine each netted a pair of goals.

It was a sluggish first quarter for the men in the water as they found themselves trailing 2-1. However, they recovered defensively and denied Riverside any goals over the final three quarters of play.

The offense finally found their rythym in the second and third quarters as they score 11 goals combined to take the commanding 12-2 lead in to the final quarter of play.

Ultimately the Rustlers found the back of the goal three more times in the fourth quarter to seal a 15-2 win and remain unbeatin in OEC play.

NEXT: Golden West will host their second invite of the season and open up against Riverside for a 9:50am start.
