Huntington Beach, Calif. - Rustlers open 2012 season at home with a double header against Southwestern and Mt. San Jacinto.  In the first game of the day the Rustlers fell to Southwestern 1-2.

Golden West took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Ciera Henson reached first on a walk, stole second and scored on a double by Cori O'Donoghue to score the first run of the 2012 season for the Rustlers.  Unfortunately this was their only scoring opportunity of the game.

Southwestern took the lead in the top of the 3rd inning when Gabielle Beasley got on base on a fielder's choice and Monica Armas hit a home run, eventual game winner, putting the Jaguars up 2-1 over the host Rustlers.

Golden West looks to bounce back in just a couple hours as they face Mt. San Jacinto in their second game of a double header.
