Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Orange Coast Pirates edged out the Rustlers 3-5 in the teams' first Orange Empire conference game of the 2015 season. 

Orange Coast (2-6,0-1) got on the board first with a three run inning in the top of the second. Golden West (1-3,0-1) responded with Melissa Aguirre, who doubled for an RBI, bringing Alexis Vincent home for the Rustlers first score of the game. Aguirre then scored on a Pirate passed ball putting the score at 2-3. 

Orange Coast scored twice more, creating a gap that the Golden West could not close, depsite Aguirre crossing the plate once more in the bottom of the fourth. 

Pitching for the Rustlers, Kiley Eskridge threw for 3 innings and then was relieved by teammate Mylie Wilson.
