Softball's Taylor Clinkaberry Earns All-Conference Honors

Huntington Beach, Calif. – Sophomore Taylor Clinkaberry has been named to the second All-Orange Empire Conference team as a Utility Player. She has played three different positions for the Rustler's this year; short-stop, third base, and catcher. As a proven leader anywhere on the field she would find herself behind the dish catching majority of games this season as she tried to help her teammates succeed any way she could.

Clinkaberry finished the 2016 campaign leading the team in numerous offensive categories: batting average (.420), runs scored (17), hits (42), doubles (11), homeruns (5), RBI's (23), and total bases (68). She would finish 10th in conference with 11 doubles, 9th in homeruns with 5, and her batting average .420 was good for 13th best in the Orange Empire Conference. Not only did she perform offensively but she was stellar with her leather as well, posting a .943 fielding percentage committing 7 errors in 38 games played.

She will leave the Rustler's with a career batting average of .341, 71 hits, 19 doubles, 5 homeruns, and 34 RBI's.
