Softball: Worsham Hits Grand Slam to Highlight Day 2 in Glendale

Glendale, Calif. - Golden West had an interesting start to day two of the Dave "Hawk" Wilder Memorial Tournament in Glendale. The Rustlers (1-3) first game against Cuesta was halted at a 4-4 tie in the third inning due to time and then they lost game two to Long Beach City College 9-4. 

Golden West 4, Cuesta 4

This game just ran out of time after three full innings, resulting in 4-4 suspended game. Golden West scored four runs on five hits as they took advantage of three Cuesta errors. Kendall Kallsen recorded her first multi-hit game of the season going 2 for 2 with an RBI. The three/four punch of Salina Tully and Jennifer Eberhardt each recorded a hit and an RBI en route to the 4-4 tie. 

Golden West 4, Long Beach 9

The Rustlers came out hot in game two scoring four runs in the top of the first inning as they strung together four hits in a row that culminated with a grand slam from Camryn Worsham. Long Beach exploded in the bottom of the third with eight runs scored to come from behind to win 9-4. 

Golden West is back in action Tuesday, January 29 at Long Beach City College for a 3pm start.
