Softball: Hartman Throws No-Hitter in the Desert

Palm Desert, Calif. - Sophomore pitcher Jennifer Hartman throws a no hitter in a 5 inning mercy rule blowout win against Glendale College 16-0.

Hartman earned her third victory in what has turned out to be a chaotic beginning of the season with weather postponements. The Rustlers were excited to get back to playing ball and they put their skills on display both offensively and defensively.

Hartman surrendered two walks in her five innings of work and struck out two batters as she let her teammates on defense carry her no hitter. The offense came out swinging and didn't stop in their four innings of action as they pounded 10 hits and scored 16 runs.

Sophomore Cami Cohen made the most of her at bats as she led the offense with a huge five RBI game while going 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored. Not to be over shadowed are Camryn Worsham and her 3 for 4 effort with 3 RBI's and Ashley Boss with her 2 for 3 game with 3 RBI's.

Next: The Rustlers will travel to Fullerton College on Wednesday February 27th for a 3pm start.
