Huntington Beach, Calif. -Golden West hosted the Fullerton College Hornets Wednesday afternoon. The game was vital for positioning in the conference standings with Golden West being 1-2 in conference and Fullerton being 2-1.
However, the game did not go well for the Rustlers. Golden West struggled offensively, not getting a hit until the fourth inning. Pitching and the defense faced their own struggles as well, Michelle Sheedy surrendered four runs through four innings and Madalyn Burton gave up an eight spot in the fifth inning while their defense didn't help them out with five errors. The rustlers found themselves mercy ruled after five innings 12-0.
