Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West Softball hosted the Saddleback College Gauchos on Wednesday afternoon. The Rustlers lost to the Gauchos 2-0 after another disappointing performance by their offense. This marks the third game in a row the Rustlers have been shutout. The Rustlers are currently on a seven-game losing streak bringing their record to 8-12 overall and 1-7 in conference.
Despite the loss starting pitcher Madalyn Burton still put together a good outing for the Rustlers but wasn't supported with any runs. Burton pitched seven innings striking out four and finding her way out of some tight jams as she gave up 2 runs on 11 hits.
