Huntington Beach, CA - Golden West softball (1-2) dropped a close one to the Southwestern Jaguars (5-2), 0-1. 

The Rustlers came off a successful showing against LA Valley in which they no-hit their opponent in an 11-0 mercy victory. Golden West turned around to host the Southwestern Jaguars and have a defensive battle. Southwestern would score in the first inning but off of an error committed by a Rustler. The run would come in to score and be the only run of the game. 

Though the Rustlers out hit the Jaguars, they were unable to cross any runners over home and lost, 0-1. Desyree Arizmendi pitched a terrific game as she went all 7.0 frames with only three hits allowed, an unearned run and struck out ten. Mackenzie King, Maya Magadalenom, Mia Duda and Sara Aguilar were responsible for the four base hits by the Rustler bats. The team lost their second game of the season and fell to 1-2.
