Golden West Earns First Home Victory

Huntington Beach, CA - Golden West softball (2-2) earns their first home victory over the Glendale Vaqueros  (7-7), 4-0.

The Rustlers jumped out ahead in the first two innings as they scored early and often. Shelby Jacobz got Golden West on the board first with her RBI triple that scored Allyssa DeMayo. A two-out rally occurred as Mia Duda started it with a run-scoring single to right field. Sofia Herrera followed with an RBI single up the middle which scored Duda. Jacobz did her job yet again with a two-RBI knock to add a couple of insurance runs. The team rode out their victory after the second inning for five scoreless innings, 4-0.
