Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Women's Golden West basketball team hosted the first place Irvine Valley College Lasers in Orange Empire Conference play. Irvine showed why they are in first place as they led from the opening tip until the end of the game winning 89-41.
Golden West struggled to contain the Lasers as all of their players scored at least one point. Golden West committed 36 turnovers allowing 42 points off of them and struggled shooting at only 25% from the field. Rustlers Abigail Guerrero and Kimberley Mancillas were the team's top scores with 13 and 12 points.
The Rustlers fall to 3-16 overall and 0-7 in conference on the season. They look to bounce back Wednesday February 5th at Fullerton College.
