Huntington Beach, Calif. - Las Vegas Basketball star Kayla Terry has verbally committed to Golden West College.

Kayla's accolades include Las Vegas Sun Super 7, Las Vegas Review Journal All-Southern Nevada team, as well as athlete of the week, Scorebook live emerging national players, and a Ball Dawgs national all-star.  Prior to her commitment Kayla was the highest ranked uncommitted prospect in Nevada.

Kayla prepped at Las Vegas High School where she was named captain and carried the team to the 4A Nevada state championship. Kayla was a three-sport athlete also excelling in volleyball and the sprints in track. Kayla played her club ball for West Coast United.

Golden West Coach Barry Migliorini says "Kayla is just a wow to watch, she can do so much, she finishes, she rebounds and she's a precision passer. It's rare to get so many tools in one package". Kayla is the niece of John Hicks who played football at Airforce Academy. Kayla will be a Psychology major at Golden West.

Kayla is the third GWC recruit to be ranked top 50 in her state, joining Tylan Adams and Princess McCauley.
