Women's Basketball Excelling On and Off the Court

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West women's basketball student-athletes find success on the court and in the classroom. 

As the Golden West College Women's Basketball team continues to impress on the court with their 10-4 record, their academic achievements off the court are equally commendable sporting a Fall team GPA of 3.49. The team has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to education, with numerous players earning recognition on the Dean's List and Honor Roll.

Leading the academic charge is Keilah Ezaddin, who boasts an impressive 3.86 GPA. Her dedication to her studies and her sport sets a high standard for her teammates. Following closely is Makayla Heffernen with a 3.77 GPA, showcasing her ability to balance athletics and academics effectively.

Catherine Jordan, Alana Flores, and Kayla Terry are also standouts, each maintaining a GPA above 3.5. Their inclusion on the Dean's List is a testament to their hard work and perseverance, balancing rigorous basketball training schedules with demanding academic pursuits.

The team's academic prowess extends to the Honor Roll as well, where players like Kim Rivera and Jess Ramirez, both with a 3.47 GPA, demonstrate that excellence in basketball and academics can go hand in hand. Princess McCauley, Ty Adams, and Izabella Acevados have also made significant contributions to the team's academic profile, each maintaining a GPA above 3.2. Laoren Jordan, with a GPA of 3.11 over 53 career college units, rounds out this group of academically talented athletes. 

The Golden West College Women's Basketball team is a shining example of how student-athletes can excel in both their sports and their studies. Their achievements in the classroom are as noteworthy as their achievements on the court, proving that with hard work and determination, one can excel in all facets of college life.
