Coach Cheyenne has played basketball for 18 years and has coached for 4 years. Her playing experience starts at Laguna Hills High School where she helped her team win CIF and become runner-ups in State. After Her senior year she played at Trinity International University where she really grew as a player and found a leader role on the team. After playing in college for a short time she was able to travel to Guangzhou, China and play overseas as well as train/coach the youth in the the Tianhe District. Unfortunately she suffered two torn Achilles while playing overseas. Even after a tough recovery she wasn’t discouraged and currently still plays in Semi-pro tournaments/leagues across the country including Chicago, Illinois and even right here in Southern California.
Coach Chey, had the pleasure of being apart of the coaching staff at Jserra Catholic High School for the season of 2021. She was able to apply everything she learned and pass it on to the young women of Jserra. She now has the greatest pleasure by joining the Golden West College Women's Basketball as an assistant coach. She’s thrilled to help shape the young women and help them ascend to their fullest potential on and off the court.
“My goal coming to GWC is to help create a strong culture founded on hard-work, discipline and self confidence amongst these bright young women. I’m hoping I can help these young women become the best players they possibly can be while also inspiring them to dig deep and fight for a national championship.”
