Huntington Beach, Calif. – Golden West hosted Saddleback College in a close game Tuesday, Oct. 9^th, resulting in the Rustlers first tie (1-1) for their conference play.

The Rustlers (6-6-1, 4-3-1) held the Gauchos with one goal before half time, and were only able to respond with one goal of their own.With 52 minutes gone on the game clock, Katie Fosmire (Cypress, CA/Cypress HS) dribbled the ball from the sideline to the top of the 18-yard box, scoring Golden West's only goal for the game.  Goalkeeper Olivia Bedard (Long Beach, CA/Millikan HS) allowed only one goal in the game, but stopped 5 shots from coming in.
