Women's Soccer Tie Scoreless

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West (1-2-1) hosted El Camino (0-3-1) in their last pre-season game Thursday, finishing with a painful 0-0 score.

The Rustlers pushed hard down field but were never able to connect with the ball for a score. With 3 near goals, Golden West went in to the half feeling the stress of the game. Teammates Kahri Golden and Jennifer Munoz went into the half each with 2 shots on goal for the Rustlers.

Coming out in the second half, despite a total 6 shots on goal for the game, their highest number this season, the women could not recover and score. Rustler goal keeper Olivia Bedard was in the net for 90 minutes with 2 saves; and sophomore forward Alina Aviles finished the game with 4 shots and 2 shots on goal.

The women now focus to start their regular conference play against Santa Ana at home on Thursday, September 17th game time is 3:00pm.
