Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West pulled out a 3-2 win at home against the Orange Coast Pirates (5-2-3, 3-2-2) Friday night. Coming off a win earlier in the week, the Rustlers (6-4-2, 5-2) look to be working together as a team with a common goal.

Golden West found the back of the net early in the game when Daiy Guttierrez gave Alexis Ramierez the ball, Ramierez took the left foot shot for the first point. Angelina Martinez would score next for the Rustlers on a low to the ground free kick. The Pirates were still able to capitalize on the Golden West defense, and nearing the end of the game, the score was tied 2-2. 

In minute 32 of the second half, Martinez had the ball and was dribbling down mid-field toward the 6-yard box. An Orange Coast defender knocked down Martinez and with no fouled called, Khari Golden managed to get the ball and crossed to the right side. Jennifer Munoz was there reading the play and got the shot on the left corner of the goal, wrapping the game up for the Rustlers. 

The women will host Saddleback on Tuesday, October 15th in a 1:00pm game.
