Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West (1-3-1, 0-1-1) suffered its first Orange Empire Conference loss to Cypress College (5-1-1, 2-0), 2-0. In a tough match up the Rustlers battled hard for every ball only surrendering one goal each half.

The Rustler offense put six balls on goal but just couldn't find the back of the net. Valentina Manns had the best opportunity on a free kick in the first half hitting the crossbar from 30 yards out. Golden West had a few more free kicks and one corner chance but couldn't capitalize.

Goalkeeper Brooke Riddle had a couple close calls but kept her composer to only allow two balls past her out of 14 shots on goal.

NEXT: Golden West will travel to Norco College for a 3PM kickoff.
