Huntington Beach, Calif. – Golden West (3-10-4, 2-8-4) women's soccer beat Fullerton (1-10-3, 3-12-3) 3-1 in the last home game for the sophomores.
Alexis Saldana got the Rustlers started when she netted a ball from 35 yards out in the 25th minute to take 1-0 lead. Fullerton would score just before halftime to even the game at 1-1. That tie would last until a booming free kick by Valentina Manns (70th minute) would find the back of the net from almost mid field. Four minutes later sophomore Jessica Cowles would net her fifth goal of the season to give Golden West the win 3-1.
NEXT: Golden West will travel to Irvine Valley Tuesday, Nov. 8 for a 3pm kickoff.
