Rustlers Set New Marks At Aztec Invitational

San Diego, Calif. - The Golden West men's and women's track and field team headed down to San Diego for the 34th Annual SDSU Aztec Track & Field Invitational. Despite the harsh weather conditions, Rustler Annalise Weisenburger managed to run the fastest 100-meter dash in school history with a time of 12.46.  She was not the only Rustler to perform well in the rain, Nate Simon ran an impressive 400-meter race against the wind clocking in at 50.89.

In the field events Golden West was led by freshman Natasha Caldwell, a Washington native, who currently holds the school record in the javelin with a throw of 132'3 ft.  This past weekend she did not disappoint and launched a throw of 120ft.

The Golden West Rustlers are traveling to UCI this Saturday March 24 for the Spring Break Invitational where they will go head to head against top four-year universities.
