Caldwell Takes 1st Place in Javelin

Fullerton, Calif. - Congratulations to Natasha Caldwell for placing first in the Javelin Throw at the Ben Brown Invitational on March 8th & 9th.  Caldwell threw for 43.40m beating her personal all-time best record, and the Golden West College record which she previously held at 42.41m. Caldwell is also currently the state leader in this event. 

Competing against more than 40 teams, visiting from as far away as Anchorage Alaska, as well as multiple 4-year universities, Golden West's women track and field team placed in the top 15 in 4 events.  

In the Field events, Caldwell, who placed in multiple events over the span of the Invitational, also placed 3rd in her Triple Jump heat, and 12th overall with a distance of 9.94m. Kaylie Higa placed 5th in her heat, and 5th overall in the Pole Vault "B" event, with a height of 3.2m.

On the track in the 100m Hurdles, Tailor Dunigan placed 3rd in her heat and 14th overall with a time of 16.06.
