Riverside, Calif. - While enduring furnace-like conditions over the weekend, the men and women of the Golden West Track and Field team performed at the top of their game at the prelims for the So Cal Meet at Riverside City College.

Marcus Sanchez was the 2nd qualifier in the javelin at 177'7"- a personal best for him in this event; he also finished as the 6th qualifier in the 110hh at 15.27. 

Sol Ochoa tied the field in the Pole vault at 10'.75". A season best for the sophomore.

Gavin Coath finished as the 8th qualifier, and achieved a personal best in the shot put at 47'5". He also was the 10th qualifier in the discus at 138'11". 

Anna Lindsay jumped her way in to the 10th place qualifier in the triple jump at 34'9".

And the always running, Cynthia Torres places 2nd in the 10K final at 41:12.17. Torres qualified for State Championships. Competing in 5k this week.
