Golden West's Elizabeth Cotociu finished 2nd in the Orange Empire Conference's Heptathlon, with teammate Daria Sharova finishing in fourth. The women participated in the extraordinary event on March 11th and 12th at Orange Coast College.

The Women's Heptathlon is a combined event consisting of the following seven events: 100m hurdles, High jump, Shot put, 200m dash, Long jump, Javelin throw and the 800m dash.  

Cotociu finished with 3,849 total points for the event. She took first place in 800m run with a time of 2:18.80 and first place in the Triple Jump, with a distance of 10.63m.

Sharova finished first in the Long Jump with a distance of 5.42m and second place in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.95, the first place time was 8.94.
