Costa Mesa, Calif. - The Golden West College women's track and field program went to Orange Coast College to compete in the Coast 5-way season opener.

Sophomore Emily Nguyen opened the season with impressive performances at the OCC Invitational. Her marks of 4.87m in the long jump and 27.47m in the javelin, lead the Orange Empire Conference. Nguyen placed 3rd in both the long jump and javelin throw.
