San Diego, Calif. – The women's track and field team had a successful trip to San Diego as they had three student-athletes qualify for the 3C2A State Championships next weekend held at Modesto College in Northern California.

Sophomore Marikay Schwab placed second in both the 1500m and 5000m at the SoCal Regional Championships to qualify. 

Ariana Grum also qualified for the state championship with her fifth-place finish in the shot put. 

Emily Nguyen moves on in the high jump after her sixth-place finish.  Nguyen will also compete in the Heptathlon event at the state meet. The Rustlers women's team finished eighth overall in the SoCal Championships held at San Diego Mesa College.
