Santa Ana, Calif. – Golden West made quick work of defeating the Don's 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-18) on Friday, October 5th, improving their Orange Empire conference standing to an undefeated 3-0.

Golden West took early control of the first set with a 10-2 lead. The Don's were able to respond, but ultimately, the lady Rustlers were unstoppable, winning the set 25-10.

The Don's tried to take the reins back in the second set, but could not stop the Rustlers from going on a 7-0 run, and taking a 9-3 lead. Golden West couldn't be beat, allowing only 13 points for Santa Ana in the second set.

When the third set started, the Don's had a renewed drive, beginning the most competitive set of the match. The score remained close, but ultimately, the Rustlers pulled away and dominated the set and the match.

Alicia Utke (Cypress, Ca/Los Alamitos HS) led the Rustlers with a total of 12 kills and 2 solo blocks for the set. Talia De Falco (Oasis, CA/Oasis Alternative HS) served 4 aces and a total of 20 assists.
