Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West women's volleyball swept Riverside Community College 3-0 in their first Orange Empire Conference match. Back on home territory, the Rustlers did not back down and steadily held on to the lead during all three sets (25-11, 25-21, 25-13).

Sophomore Marina Adolpho led the Rustlers against the Tigers with 18 kills and helped defensively with 8 digs. Sophomore Megan Sanchez came out strong and served up 2 aces and 26 assists.  Freshman Samantha Ureno also stood out from the crowd and had 4 kills and 2 blocks.

The Rustlers will play again on October 7^th at 6:00PM in their second Orange Empire Conference match up against Irvine Valley College.
