W Volleyball: Stampeded by the Chargers in Three Sets

Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West women's volleyball team were swept in three sets Wednesday night by the Cypress College Chargers.

In a match that lasted a little over an hour, the Rustlers were caught in a stampede by the Chargers 25-16, 25-15, 25-12. The offensive attack was non existent as they recorded a .000% in kills as a team and nine receiving errors. They rallied with Cypress to keep it close early in the sets but just couldn't catch a rythym otherwise.

Three different Rustlers Holly Hennessy, Madison Holmes, and Sophia Peterson recorded three kills apiece while Peterson recorded 52 assists. Freshman Jennifer Juarez led the Golden West with four service aces and sophomore Henessey led the team with 11 digs.

Next: Golden West will host Santa Ana on Friday, October 5th at 6pm.
